Something to brighten up a rainy Friday afternoon

Something to brighten up a rainy Friday afternoon

A psychology joke to brighten up a rather miserable Friday afternoon.

Three brothers getting ready to leave for school. The youngest is ready first and leaves the house. As he steps out he treads straight into a large dog poo, ‘why does this always happen to me? I’m so unlucky, nothing ever goes right for me!’

The second brother is ready to leave. He steps out and treads straight into the dog poo, ‘that bl**dy dog, I’m going to kill it! Why doesn’t anyone clean up after it!’

The oldest brother is now ready to leave (he likes his sleep!). As he leaves he steps straight into the dog poo. He looks down and thinks ‘thank God I put on my shoes!’

Our behaviour and how we react to events in our lives depends on our perspective and how we view things. This is not about putting on rose tinted glasses, but rather not falling into those negative thinking traps that can blind us to the reality of a situation and leave us in a less productive frame of mind.
