Having 'suffered' with stress and anxiety both at the workplace and at home, Peter was recommended to me by a work colleague who he had helped previously and praised him highly. I was sceptical at first, reading stories online about the therapy practise in general, my hopes were far from high. However, I had nothing to loose and felt I needed to try all options on the table. Starting off with a general consultation the session focused on Peter getting a base line of my current situation, my mood, my state of mind, my actions and so on. It was a very relaxed situation and I felt totally at ease with the process by this point. In fact, it was nice to just be able to get loads of things off my chest! The following 6 weeks consisted of a hours session once a week. All of these session focused on Peter helping me see the good in life,
analysing the things I have done over the previous week to understand and pluck out things for me to see. To begin with, all my sentences started with 'I cant do this because..., but Peter calmly and professionally showed me that just because my instant reaction was negative, I needed to think beyond that. I learnt how the brain works in different ways and that certain situations and thought processes all effect the brain to produce different chemicals which impact the way I think, feel and behave. Knowing all this and being able to now identify the good hidden in what seemed like a lot of bad has pushed me to double my own 'brain score' over the course of the 6 sessions I had. I'm not fixed, but thanks to
Peter I know have the knowledge and strength to take forward what I've learned and apply it within my daily life which has so far been massively beneficial. Thank you Peter for all the help! Onwards and upwards!
