Summary
Kirsty is a Principal Environmental Specialist with over 9 years experience, managing a range of environmental and sustainability inputs to development projects including road, rail, airport, port, utilities, residential, education, industrial and mixed use schemes.
Communicating effectively on all levels, Kirsty acts a central point of contact for environmental specialists, engineers and client teams, as well as statutory and non-statutory consultees.
Kirsty has co-ordinated specialist inputs to several large EIA projects, demonstrating effective programme and financial management and organisational skills, and is used to working within a multi-disciplinary team. Time and budgetary constraints are met by ensuring specialist teams have adequate resources to complete a project to a high standard.
Kirsty routinely works with consultees including Natural England, Environment Agency and local planning authorities to ensure issues are dealt with appropriately, minimising time and financial costs. She is also regularly involved in liaison with wider stakeholder groups, including public exhibitions and stakeholder workshops.
In additional to full EIAs, Kirsty also regularly undertakes higher level environmental appraisal and optioneering studies to assist clients in the identification of the environmental constraints and risks associated with a particular site or development as early as possible. She has a broad understanding of a range of environmental disciplines.
Kirsty has also co-ordinated sustainability appraisals and strategic environmental assessments, including non-statutory SA/SEA for a number of airport development masterplans.
Kirsty regularly writes and co-ordinates inputs to reports, providing technical and non-technical quality assurance and ensuring consistency, within and between project reports.
