Total Fire Services Ltd was established in 2003 and has since provided fire safety consultancy services to an extensive and varied client base, including Selfirdges (Manchester & Birmingham), the Triangle Shopping Centre, Leeds Utd FC and Cirque du Soleil. The company has three Directors and employs fire safety consultants to conduct fire risk assessments and associated services, throughout the UK. We are intent on being a leading fire safety solutions and equipment provider by exceeding customers expectations through superior service delivery, innovation and commitment to safeguarding our clients, employees, customers and their livelihoods. We liaise with our clients on a regular basis in all legal aspects of current fire safety law and provide mediation services on their behalf with relevant enforcement authorities.

    Darren was employed with Greater Manchester County Fire and Rescue Service for 16 years, in numerous roles and differing inner city and rural locations. From 1990 to 2002 he was employed in the roles of operational fire-fighter, Leading Fire-fighter, Sub Officer and Station Officer, the roles also included the conducting of routine fire safety inspections on varying premises. He provided a wide range of training courses to operational personnel in the form of lectures and practical drills and demonstrations. His training role also included the training of recruits in trauma care over a 2 year period. In September 2002 he transferred from operational duties to the role of a dedicated fire safety officer based at a busy inner city office in Salford. 2003 brought promotion to the rank of Station Officer (Fire Safety) in the city centre of Manchester, where he remained for 18 months dealing with some of the most complex buildings in the country. After this period he transferred to the fire safety department in Stretford, which involved the conducting of inspections at the Trafford Centre, one of the largest shopping complexes in the country. The area is also a high industrial area with varying premises types including complex chemical and processing plants. In May 2005 he was promoted to the rank of Assistant Divisional Officer, fire safety manager for the borough of Rochdale. The role was responsible for the fire safety management and direction of resources for the borough of Rochdale and incorporated 3 shopping complexes, 3 hospitals, 108 schools, 135 HMO\'s, 134 care homes, 25 hotels, 326 factories, 179 offices, and 44 shops. The role also involved dealing with all building regulations consultations for the borough, the issuing of enforcement notices, prohibitions and prosecutions of premises and the day-to-day management of fire safety inspections. He was responsible for 11 staff, including 5 dedicated fire safety enforcement officers. It is with this experienced background that Total Fire Services is managed.
