From today (18th July) Ofgem launches Faster Switching and under plans energy switches should take no more than 5 days to complete. The eventual plan is for them to take 24-48 hours but to bed the system in and for suppliers to get use to it the slightly longer time period has been agreed. This applies both to domestic and commercial contracts, although not all commercial suppliers are in the scheme yet. all suppliers will have comply within time.
