Cyber Security and working from home.
Working in that Hybrid world of home and office right now; I do not doubt that you’ve heard of the cloud then, and I don’t mean those floating fluffy things in the sky. I mean the dominating technology that everyone is always talking about. If you have not heard of the cloud and want to take a look into it, speak to your current IT provider as I am sure that they will be more than happy to bring you up to speed (If your provider does not utilise the cloud, it may be time to look elsewhere!).
Most people are worried about the cloud not being secure, or not trusting their employees with company data outside of the office. Those people are correct in these concerns as these are the biggest challenges we face daily.
If you use the cloud out of the box (whether this is a Microsoft, Google or Dropbox product) it is insecure, dangerous and simplistic If you are going to utilise this platform you will want to ensure that your security is water-tight.
Using the cloud means employees are able to work from home with their own devices or even use their own device to work full time. This causes a number of security concerns such as: What malicious software is already on this device? Is the PC up to date with its anti-virus or operating system? Is the home network secure? and so on… There have been more breaches in the last two years than ever before across almost every industry, want some piece of mind? come and have a chat with us now.
