"Anything worth doing is worth doing well" - I fundamentally disagree.

One of the sayings that has had the most impact in my life came from one of my mentors over 25 years ago around the time we launched our Outplacement and Career Management service. What Keith said was:

"Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly at first." Now you're talking common sense, because if it's worth doing, then it's worth practising over and over until you become better at it.

A very important corollary that Keith added was, "It doesn't have to be perfect before you start - just start and stop procrastinating."
