My view: Too many people are not fulfilling their potential, which is affecting job satisfaction, performance and productivity. A coaching management style is required for engaging employees because the nature of work has changed exponentially. Traditional control and command practices such as working longer hours does not mean greater effectiveness, indeed this is likely to have the reverse effect.
