Safety
Using a private chauffeur service has always been a highly safe option. This fact has really come to the fore since the start of the pandemic. Although private chauffeur services may work with multiple customers, they will always ensure that vehicles are scrupulously cleaned between clients. This now goes much further than “just” regular valeting. Vehicles are given a deep-down hygienic clean.
Passengers can therefore be assured that a chauffeur-driven vehicle will be a completely sanitary environment. It is also, by definition, a private one. This makes it much safer than public transport as it limits your contact with other people.
Reliability
A chauffeur’s job isn’t driving a car. It’s making sure that their client gets from A to B in the most effective way. In some cases, this may mean taking the client on a longer, slower route so they can enjoy the journey better. In the case of business clients, however, it’s much more likely to mean working out the quickest route so that clients are sure to get to their destination in good time.
Unlike public transport, private chauffeurs are never going to be abruptly cancelled or delayed due to mechanical failures or lack of staff. They are certainly never going to terminate prior to their scheduled destination and leave you to work out how to get where you need to be. In fact, if conditions change, a private chauffeur will adapt to them so you still reach your destination on time.
Door-to-door transportation
Driving yourself eliminates the issues with public transport but it creates other ones. Probably the main one is parking. Even when a venue has its own parking area, you may not be able to reserve a guaranteed place for your own vehicle. If you’re out of luck then you need to find somewhere else to park and you need to do so in the time available to you.
If a venue doesn’t have guaranteed parking, then parking your own vehicle can be a real headache, especially at busy times. Cities are increasingly pushing regular drivers towards parking on their outskirts and making their way into the centre by other means. This may be fine if you know the area and have nothing major to carry. If, on the other hand, you’re unfamiliar with it or have a lot to carry, it can be a lot more challenging.
In principle, you can get around this by hiring a taxi. In practice, this can bring more challenges. You can book in advance but if you’re delayed then your booking may be cancelled. If not, you can expect to be charged waiting time. If you call when you get there, you may need to wait for a taxi to be available. Either way, you still have to work out how to meet up with your driver.
Making the most of your travel time
With your private chauffeur taking care of the wheel, your time is yours to use as you wish. If you want to get on with some work, you’ll have total privacy in which to do so. This is another major advantage of using a private chauffeur instead of public transport. You also have the reassurance of knowing that if you leave anything in the vehicle, it will be returned to you.
Alternatively, you can use the trip for some downtime. For example, if you’ve been having a busy time at work, you may wish to catch up on some sleep or meditate. Alternatively, if you’re rushing between appointments, you may use your trip to touch up your appearance so you look your best for the next one.
