ARE YOU CAREER MINDED?

ARE YOU CAREER MINDED?

If your answer is "yes, I am career minded," then thank Leonardo da Vinci.

Everything mankind now does as a matter of routine was once done for the first time.

Everything we now take for granted didn't exist before someone attempted the impossible, solved an intractable problem or invented something.

You can almost hear the sceptics saying,

“That’ll never work!”  “That’s impossible!”  "Yes, but what's it for?"  "You can't do that!"

So let's look at a few examples.

1853: Charles Pravaz and Alexander Wood developed a medical hypodermic syringe with a needle fine enough to pierce the skin.

1805: Jean Chancel invented the first modern, self-igniting match.

1795: Samuel Henshall took out the first known patent on the corkscrew.

1482: Leonardo da Vinci at the age of 30 wrote the first professional profile which we now refer to as a CV or a résumé.

Believe in yourself and all the 'nay-sayers' will eventually be proved wrong

You can if you think you can - and the same goes for your career!
