The Government’s Response to the consultation relating to “Deferred Prosecution Agreements” (“DPAs”) was published yesterday. The Government received 75 responses to the Consultation, including a response from Russell Jones & Walker (part of Slater & Gordon Lawyers). There was strong support for the proposals with 86% of respondents agreeing that DPAs have the potential to improve the way that economic crime committed by organisations is dealt with.
