1. If the company is going through difficult times - you will be the one who is much more likely to be retained as a valuable employee.
2. If the company is going through good times - you will be the one who is much more likely to be offered a promotion.
3. If the company is recruiting new staff - you will be the one who is more likely to be asked back for the next stage of the recruitment process - apart, of course, from those weird interviews where you are asked to assemble flat pack furniture or calculate the area of a triangle!
