HOW TO MESS UP AN INTERVIEW.

HOW TO MESS UP AN INTERVIEW.

If we are serious about our careers and our livelihoods we will spend many hours preparing for interviews when the need arises.

But here's an apocryphal tale for you to reflect on when you do your preparation for your next interview!

You've spent several hours thinking about the questions you may have to answer during an upcoming interview.

All goes well at the interview and finally the interviewer asks, "Do you have any questions for us?"

Not having thought about questions you should ask, you politely say, "No, I think you've covered everything, thank you."

Yes you were polite, but you didn't give the interviewer any additional insights into your initiative, your creativity, your character.

In short you missed an opportunity to score some extra points: later on you wonder why you didn't receive an offer.
