Sourcing a provider of design services, web development, digital expertise, marketing, events etc. can be a daunting process. How can you be sure that your supplier(s) has the level of expertise and experience that they claim and that they are delivering the best solution for you i.e. achieve the desired results? If your incumbent supplier is not delivering, why Not?
Long term relationships are built on trust which comes from your confidence in their ability to deliver.
However relationships are a two way process so…
The responsibility for research and getting to know your business must be initiated by the agency but you can assist in this process by providing requested information and investing time in discussion so that the supplier can understand your business objectives, customers and team.
Be clear about your expectations and objectives for each project, include milestones.
Make sure your agency has stated how they will monitor and track all activity and measure return on investment (ROI).
Discuss the brief and ensure that everyone fully understands:
Commitment is required from both parties, a good supplier should be more like an extension of your in house team and equally committed to achieving your marketing objectives and strategic in their approach.
