Many HR professionals struggle to fulfil their potential, get stuck in a role and risk getting left behind.  The nature of work is constantly changing and evolving, driven by rapid technological advances.  HR professionals play a key role in people management.  However their personal development often gets overlooked with the focus on continuous professional development.

In my experience many HR professionals would hugely benefit from having coaching themselves because this will improve working relationships and also help managers to coach their staff.

As a result these HR professionals find they’ve lost sight of their own HR career path and realise they don’t know how to communicate effectively with people who are seeking support in an informal way. In other words they can get caught between ‘a rock and a hard place’ trying to mediate between management and staff.

Feeling overwhelmed, they don’t know how to articulate their purpose.   Working in HR requires resolve, stamina and grit.  Although they want to progress they don’t feel confident of their leadership skills.  Stress and feeling trapped in a transactional cycle follow.
