If your aim is to build a successful career you need to be self reliant, but it is even more important that you have good communication skills. 

Whether through speaking, writing or using some other means, the ability to communicate effectively with others is of paramount importance to you career. 

It’s about sharing, exchanging, imparting and discussing knowledge, news, information and ideas; sometimes it’s about conveying and transmitting feelings and emotions to other people, often using non-verbal means; it’s about interacting with and relating to others; it’s about managing relationships professionally.
