An important interview is coming up.

You know where you are headed, you’ve done all the prep work, you’ve researched the company and done your due diligence, so all that’s left is the serious stuff - to get through the interview!

What you really need now is to make sure you understand the fundamentals of body language. Let me tell you why.

Research by UCLA indicates that only 7% of your message is communicated by the words you use! They found that 38% comes from your vocal intonation and the rest, 55%, comes from your body language.

If your interviewer knows how to interpret body language and you don't, you are at a distinct disadvantage.

Your subtle mannerisms will either give you an extra edge - using your smile, appropriate eye contact and mirroring - or they will send you to the back of the pack - stroking the back of your head, folded arms, having a clenched jaw or raising your eyebrows. #proteuscareermanagement #interviewtechnique #bodylanguage #vocalintonation
