How strong is your personal brand?

 Show Interest
As Dr. Natalia Wiechowski argues in her excellent article "Personal Branding. The what, why, how and who" you "cannot not have a personal brand".

To this I would add, "if you seek to promote yourself within your career or if you are intent on finding a new career opportunity, it is essential that all aspects of you are self consistent".

Recruiters and employers don't only look at your CV, they listen to what you say at interview, they ask for references, they Google your name, look at your LinkedIn profile, your Facebook posts and your overall social media presence.

All of these need to convey the same message, a message that reinforces the profile section on your CV.

Ask yourself a question. "Do my CV, my social media presence, my achievements, my transferable skills, my elevator pitch and even my dress sense give out the same message?" If they don't, then you don't have a strong enough personal brand! #proteuscareermanagement #jobsearch #personalbranding #careeradvancement
